The Road Across The Wolds (Mini Framed) by David Hockney

£25.00

Artist: David Hockney

This is a small framed print of David Hockney's The Road Across the Wolds. The painting comes from a period when David Hockney rediscovered the landscape of his home turf. In summer 1997, he was often to be found driving across the Yorkshire Wolds to visit his sick friend, Jonathan Silver. Jonathan urged David to paint Yorkshire, and a series of beautiful oils began to appear. The rich palette of these dynamic works is a celebration of life, love and landscape.

The Road Across the Wolds was part of the 2017/18 Hockney retrospective, seen at Tate Britain,  London, the Pompidou Centre, Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York..

The postcard print is framed in a Polcore frame. Hang it on the wall, or display it on our lovely Rhine Table Easel.

If you want to show your small Road Across the Wolds print with related ready-framed works, North Yorkshire and The Road to York through Sledmere are also available in the same small framed size. These works both painted by David Hockney during the period described above and share the same palette, as does his Salts Mill.

Framed dimensions of this mini-print: approximately 24.5 x 27 cm

This is an authorised David Hockney reproduction,  produced by Salts Mill, for Salts Mill. Please hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
