Floating Earth Stand / Centrepiece des. Yan Song Ma, 2010 (made by Alessi)
Superb 3 layered centrepiece in wood and 18/10 polished stainless steel, designed by Yan Song Ma.
The Floating Earth Stand was created as part of Alessi's“(Un)Forbidden City” operation, exploring the potential of Chinese product design. In 2010 Alessi asked eight Chinese architects to design a tray-container. This was our favourite response. Use it as a cake stand, a tray or a stunning sculptural centrepiece.
