This bookmark is made by the Museum of Modern Art, New York, adapting details of the Tree of Life design by Frank Lloyd Wright from 1904. The design was created for stained glass windows in the Darwin D Martin house in Buffalo, New York. It's perhaps the best known of all Lloyd Wright's motifs. The original windows are now in the collection of Princeton University Art Museum.
American Frank Lloyd Wright was one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. His belief was to produce buildings that were in harmony with humanity and its environment. His talents could also be seen in the interior of his buildings, with a passion for furniture and stained glass.
Made of brass with a bronze coloured finish.
