Frank Lloyd Wright Playhouse Black Roller Ball Pen

£61.95

By: Acme

The design of the Playhouse Black Standard Roller Ball Pen was inspired by the work of the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright and was created by ACME in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation..

The design has silver line work over a black background reminiscent of the windows in the child's playhouse designed by Wright for Avery Coonley in the suburbs of Chicago - representing balloons and confetti in a Fourth of July Parade. The pen comes with one black roller ball refill. Artist's signature is engraved on the cap band and "ACME" is on the clip. The pen is presented in a metal Frank Lloyd Wright tin with a black sleeve and ACME literature.

Born in Wisconsin, USA, in 1867, Frank Lloyd Wright grew up to be America’s greatest and most innovative architect. His legacy is one of America’s foremost cultural treasures. In 1940, he established The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to protect, preserve and administer his life’s work. In 1991, Architectural Record magazine published a list of the 100 most significant buildings in the world - 11 were by Frank Lloyd Wright. In June 2019, several of his buildings were inscribed onto the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, creating a connection with Salts Mill and Saltaire which are also on this list of precious and extraordinary places.
