“Waste Not a Moment”
Who doesn’t need to carve out a piece of time? M&Co Pie Watch gets you a jolly good slice - and it's the epitome of pure watch design. Originally designed in 1984 by M&Co Labs, creator Tibor Kalman’s witty take on time still cajoles a smile. Kalman literally carves a slice of time here: the face of this watch cuts a slice out of the classic brass version of the Bodoni watch, incorporating Kalman's signature wit with only a quarter of a clock. Holding true to M&Co's motto of “Waste Not a Moment,” this Pie cuts through the clutter and tells you exactly what you're looking for.
Please note this is the 40mm diameter face Pie Watch, we also have a 40mm diameter face on a separate listing.
Kalman (1949-1999) began his legendary working relationship with time in 1983. In the spirit of the motto 'Waste Not a Moment,' he founded the legendary, multidisciplinary design firm M&Co. In collaboration with his wife Maira, the conceptually progressive firm initially created graphics, magazines and film titles, and books.
Following the release of an album cover for Talking Heads, M&Co gained big plaudits for pushing the envelope on conventions of design and typography, and went on to become a major influence on emerging designers.
