The image captures a moment from Woldgate Woods, Winter, 2010 by David Hockney, a video installation at Salts Mill.
Whilst living in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, Hockney enjoyed working with video. Cameras were rigged to the exterior of a 4x4 which would drive slowly around the countryside. Hockney created what he calls a ‘Cubist movie’ capturing moments in a literal moving picture: part of Hockney’s lifelong exploration of time, landscape and memory. The poster is a still from the movie.
Don't miss the postcards of this image. Large posters also available.
This is an authorised David Hockney poster, produced by Salts Mill, for Salts Mill. Please hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
