Bauhaus Architecture 1919-1933 poster (Bauhausarchitektur)

£22.50

Artist: Bauhaus

A large poster showing buildings and designs of the Bauhaus, the mould-breaking school of design founded in 1919 in the German city of Weimar by architect Walter Gropius. Gropius had a radical concept: to reimagine the material world to reflect the unity of all the arts. The story of the Bauhaus has been written and re-written a million times, but the ongoing cultural legacy of this extraordinary place - and indeed the ongoing legacy of its individual teaching staff and students such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Anni and Josef Albers and Paul Klee to name but few -  reaches beyond words.

Approximate dimensions: 70 x 100cm.
