David Hockney
David Hockney was born in Bradford in 1937. He is the UK's greatest living artist, constantly working, innovating, looking - and looking again.
Here at Salts Mill we have been hanging our vast Victorian factory spaces with work by this life-enhancing artist for over 3 decades. When Jonathan Silver got the keys in 1987, the first thing he did was create the 1853 Gallery. He filled it with art by David, his friend and fellow Bradfordian. Ever since then we have welcomed the public with free entry. If you’d like to visit us in the real world, take a look at our visitor site – otherwise, please enjoy shopping here.
We offer a unique selection of authorised David Hockney posters, prints, postcards, books and other items, many of which are produced by and exclusive to Salts. We also sell a selection of vintage / archive authorised Hockney posters from periods including his inspirational opera designs and experiments with photomontage ('joiners').
