This superb poster, showing one of David Hockney's designs for The Rake's Progress, was created in 1981 for an exhibition of costume drawings and set designs at The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. David's 1975 designs for The Rake's Progress became some of the most important theatre design of the twentieth century - totally thrilling and immersive. This poster, full of cross hatching, playfulness and cleverness, gives you a glimpse of the magic the artist created on stage.
The condition of these posters is excellent apart from some small indentations across the top edge which you can see being pointed out in the photographs below. These are barely noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the poster.
