This radiating artwork is a reminder of all the good sunshine brings and the incredible healing power of mother nature. In the Yoruba language “aami aami” directly translates to “dot dot” – a symbolism of the sun’s circular shape – yellow dots shine bright within the plate’s lively pattern while serotonin-inducing orange rays are spread throughout to represent the sun’s powerful beams.

Yinka Ilori has teamed up with a small supplier in Portugal on a collection of stoneware serveware. Individually hand finished, each piece is hand-moulded for a slightly irregular, organic shape, contrasting the precise, geometric elements of the artwork. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, there may be slight imperfections on the surface which adds to the charm of the item.
