The Kastehelmi plate in Sea Blue is an icon of Finnish design - endlessly fascinating and joyful, it's a perennial favourite of customers and the team here in The Home.
The idea of using droplets of glass as decoration came to designer Oiva Toikka when he was thinking of ways of covering the joint marks left on the surface of pressed glass pieces by the production process. And hey presto, what a wonderful result!
