Alder Thrush Annual Bird 2024 - des. Oiva Toikka, made by Iittala

Designer Oiva Toikka created each of his glass bird designs in close collaboration with the master glassblowers first at Nuutajärvi glass Factory and later at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland. The designs combine Toikka's love for nature and passion for glass art, taking inspiration from actual birds yet also being an intriguing work of imagination. The Annual Bird of 2024, the Alder Thrush, has a recognisable bird shape with green, blue, brown and black feather-like dappling against the white background. The Annual Bird is a perfect gift. Each bird is numbered and engraved to mark the year 2024.
