Candle poster by Patrick Caulfield (Europalia, Brussels, 1973)

Patrick Caulfield (1936 - 2005) was a brilliant English painter and printmaker with an unmistakeable style: bold, graphic, pared back and precise. 

Europalia festivals began in 1969 - each festival is in a different country. This monochrome poster featuring Caulfield's Candle was published for the one in 1973. The passing decades have not dimmed this particular candle's power - it's seriously striking and would add style, crispness and interest to any interior.

This is an archive / vintage poster, printed in 1973,  now collectable and in short supply. Our stock of it is sold as new. Given its age the overall condition is very, very good but inevitably some small scuffs and indentations have appeared as the years have gone by. Please hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. We send out posters rolled in tubes.
