The Blue Tree, 1908 poster by Piet Mondrian

£15.00

Artist: Piet Mondrian

This beautiful poster showcases Mondrian's Blue Tree of 1908. The artist produced an extensive series of tree paintings over a period of five years between 1908 and 1913. His aim was to understand the underlying form of the tree,  gradually reducing the visual language he used with every picture. This is one of the early studies. The later onesE develop into grid patterns.

This poster was produced by Fondation Maeght for their 1985 Mondrian exhibition.
