Another Body (2008-2015) poster by Pipilotti Rist

Fabulous poster with still image from the video work, Another Body, (2008-2015 ), by the Swiss artist Pippilotti Rist, (b. 1962). Rist is one of the biggest and most popular names in contemporary art. She's known for her sensual, brightly coloured and wonderful video works and installations. This poster was published in 2019 by the Louisiana Museum of Denmark in connection with the exhibition 'Pipilotti Rist - Open my Light'.

In Another Body, you can sense that Rist uses the camera as both an eye and a sense of touch. The artist says "For me, video is like a painting on glass in motion."

Actually christened Elisabeth Charlotte Rist, as a young woman she took the stage name Pipilotti in tribute to Astrid Lindgren's anarchist and free-thinking Pippi Longstocking. Rist's art can seem both challenging and provocative, but at the same time also full of joy and humour.
