Composition in Red, Yellow and Blue, 1928 poster by Piet Mondrian

£25.00

Artist: Piet Mondrian

Following his experiments with cubism, Piet Mondrian established his own style in 1920 which he called Neoplasticism. The aesthetic objective for this style was to obtain an arrangement based on contrasts which meant that paintings often included both vertical and horizontal lines and tones alongside primary colours. 'Composition in Red Yellow and Blue' is an excellent example of Mondrian's ability to contrast both line and colour.
