Artist: Ian Beesley

This wonderful photograph has been printed by the photographer Ian Beesley on Epson archival ink jet paper. Hand titled and hand signed by Mr. Beesley, framed in black.

The photographer tells the story of the Gray's Fisheries sign:

"The sign above the door - A.GRAY - was made out of Cat’s Eyes. Percy Shaw, the inventor of  Cats Eyes, was Mr Gray's best friend. When he opened his chip shop, Percy  Shaw said he should get a neon sign for the shop, Mr Gray couldn’t afford one, so Mr Shaw made him one from cats eyes. When cars drove the street at night their headlights would make the eyes twinkle."
