Nice: Travail et Joie, 1947 poster by Henri Matisse

This vibrant poster design, created by Henri Matisse in the post-World War II era, promotes the city of Nice on the French Riviera as a place of "Work and Joy". Created during the later part of Matisse's career when he resided in the South of France, it evokes the sunlit Mediterranean atmosphere that inspired much of his work.
