The Road To York Through Sledmere (Mini Framed) by David Hockney

£25.00

Artist: David Hockney

This is a small framed print of David Hockney's The Road to York Through Sledmere.  The brilliant red brick of the buildings around Sledmere House and the vivid greens of the surrounding countryside create a sense of magic unfolding along the winding road.

In summer 1997, David Hockney was often to be found driving across the Yorkshire Wolds to visit his sick friend, Jonathan Silver. Jonathan urged David to paint Yorkshire, and beautiful oils began to appear, including The Road to York Through Sledmere. The rich palette of these dynamic works are a celebration of life, love and landscape.

The postcard print is framed in a wood-look Polcore frame. It looks beautiful hung on the wall, or displayed on our Rhine Table Easel.

If you want to show your small Road to York through Sledmere print with related ready-framed works, The Road Across the Wolds and North Yorkshire  are also available in the same small framed size. These works were painted by David Hockney during the period described above and share the same palette, as does his Salts Mill.

Framed dimensions of this mini-print: approximately 24.5 x 27 cm

This is an authorised David Hockney reproduction,  produced by Salts Mill, for Salts Mill. Please hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Printed and framed in West Yorkshire.
