Crash Panton Tray - small - des. Verner Panton for Georg Jensen, 1988

£76.25

This piece is designed by the iconic artist Verner Panton, one of Denmark's most influential designers. Panton created the original by hand in sterling silver in 1988 - today it's beautifully produced in mirror polished stainless steel. The tray is known as 'crash' due to its wrinkled shape but some say that the look of the piece comes from when Panton sketched it on  paper, scrunched it up and threw it in the bin. After a while, the paper slowly unscrunched itself, and the design was born.

17.6cm long, 14.6cm wide.
