A stone cold (or should that be boiling hot?!) 1980s classic, Michael Graves's kettle with its famous bird-shaped whistle has been making folks grin since '85.
The postmodern design mixes influences of European Art, American Pop and quotes from pre-Columbian cultures. Graves's unique visual language is the reason behind the extraordinary success of this object - smart, elegant, but at the same time playful and fun. When the water starts boiling, the birdie sings, and we smile.
Kettle in 18/10 stainless steel with black thermoplastic resin handle and bird. Magnetic stainless steel heat diffusing base, suitable for induction hobs.
In order for the bird to whistle, please ensure the water does not cover the spout otherwise there is no space for the steam to escape and the bird won’t whistle. No fun!
