Painterly Meditations exhibition poster by Tarja Pitkänen-Walter

We love this beautiful, colourful poster, showcasing the work of Tarja Pitkänen-Walter. The painting on the wall - Photon, 2020 - cascades down across the floor and the art spills out around the spaces. The poster was created by the Taidehalli, Kunsthalle Helsinki for Pitkänen-Walter's 2022 solo show there.

The artist describes her practice thus: "I focus on painting as a vitalistic, transformative agency. I witness certain moments of painting practice, when it seems that the painting itself takes the lead and guides the process. In those moments, I feel like gaining extra energy, I become vitalised."
