The 5071 Parmesan Cheese Cellar designed in 1978 is a testament to Ettore Sottsass who, with a few simple lines, can exalt the archetypical look of an object as common as a parmesan cheese cellar to something of a design statement.

  • Parmesan cheese cellar in 18/10 stainless steel and glass.
  • Size: Capacity approx 0.21 oz, Diameter approx 4.33", Height approx 3.94"

About Ettore Sottsass:

Born in Innsbruck in 1917, Sottsass is known the world over as one of the initiators of the revolution in architecture and design which led away from the rigid functionalism of the years prior to and following the Second World War. A great and influential Maestro of Italian design, the energy of his language and the vitality of his colour and line contrast sharply with any intellectualism and rigidity. He died in December 2007.
