Designed by Edyta Cieloch, the "Bau Solo Tea Set" consists of a porcelain teapot and  cup that together create a compact spatial composition and a beautiful, as well as functional, object. The structure of this award winning tea set for one is based on basic geometric shapes—spheres and cuboids— which also reflect the Bauhaus idea of ​​a composition of simple shapes.

About Edyta Cieloch: 

Edyta Cieloch studied design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, specialising in ceramic design. Since 2007, together with Marek Cecula and Modus Design, she has been creating utilitarian and decorative porcelain objects. Her works have been included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Art & Design in New York and the KOCEF Ceramic Foundation in South Korea. Since 2013, also together with Marek Cecuła, she has been designing for Ćmielów Design Studio, a contemporary brand of Ćmielów porcelain. In 2023, she won the Tableware International Awards of Excellence in the Coffee/Teaware category for her BAU solo tea set.

About Ćmielów Design Studio:

In 2013, with Marek Cecula's participation, Ćmielów Design Studio was established, a design studio of Polish Porcelain Factories, which conducts development activities, introducing contemporary Polish design to the global market. Experimenting with the porcelain production process, the Studio combines the touch of the human hand with innovative methods and technology. The Studio space is used for numerous projects in the fields of education, art and business, and cooperation is undertaken with schools and designers from all over the world as part of the Residency program. The Studio provides young creators with the opportunity to participate in celebrated projects, while promoting Polish design to an international audience.
