A Small Box of River (signed)

£70.00

A Small Box of River is a very special art object by Jake Attree and Robert Powell, signed by both and limited to an edition of 150 copies

Renowned artist Attree and poet Powell have created this enchanting ‘small box’ containing 15 poems and 15 images along with a contents page and three frontice pages. Their inspiration was a series of walks along the Rivers Ouse and Foss in York. The resulting creation explores the relationship with the visual and the written word, the connections and differences between a book and a work of art, and the boundaries between a series of words and a series of drawings.

A Small Box of River was pubilshed in York in 2016. It is set in Cambria and printed in photo-lithography on Fedrigoni Materica Gesso 25gsm.

The box includes 15 poems and 15 images along with a contents page and three frontice pages. The box measures H 23.5cm x W 17cm x D 1.6cm.

This edition is limited to 150 numbered copies signed by the artist and poet.

(Please note, edition numbers 1-12 are Deluxe Editions, specially prepared with one of the drawings hand-tinted by Jake Attree. These deluxe editions cost £140. At the time of writing, we have just one of these - number 12 - remaining in stock. Please contact us if you wish to purchase one of this.)
