Cobra Candlesticks - des Constantin Wortmann for Georg Jensen, 2008 (medium pair)
The Cobra candlesticks in mirror-plated stainless steel bring a dramatic twist to your interior and your lighting. Strong curves give an impression of movement and attitude. They look superbly contemporary alone and add magic to a table setting amidst branches and foliage.
Cobra is classic in its imposing silver form; the way it rises seems almost gravity-defying. It shares a number of qualities with its namesake: it is imposing, bold and striking.
The form was inspired in part by the idea of melting wax. The curve is such an organic one, it is almost as if a classic candlestick has begun to melt. There is something seductive about the form, with its dynamic spiralling shape and stainless steel exterior. The mirrored surface catches and reflects the light with flair.
Candles not included.
