Hey Let's Go for A Ride! (Amos Anderson, 1974) poster by James Rosenquist

A completely fabulous large poster full of Rosenquistian themes, reproducing the artist's Hey Let's go for a Ride (1973). This poster was printed in 1974 for a show at the Amos Anderson Museum, Helsinki.

Together with Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein,  Rosenquist (1933-2017) is one of the greats of American Pop art. From the late 1950s, he was instrumental in establishing Pop as a movement, changing our expectations of visual art.  Rosenquist worked as a billboard painter of American adverts, which fed into his desire and ability to work on a monumental scale. In the  60s and 70s his art reflected a complex society of consumerism, technology, severe brightness and deep darkness - and peered into a complex future.

Approximate dimensions: 90.2 x 60.3 cm / 35.5 x 23.75 in.
