Duck by Hans Bølling
Handmade in teak wood, this charming duck captures the essence of Danish design.
In Spring 1959 a policeman in Frederiksberg stopped the traffic in order to let a duck family pass. The newspapers published a now-famous photograph of the ducks crossing the road. Inspired by the traffic-stopping duck family, Hans Bølling designed a pair of small wooden duck figures. This is the duck; the duckling is available on a separate product entry. The smooth, wooden curves of these beautifully made things are simple yet sophisticated and inspire serenity wherever they are placed.
Dimensions of Duck: 18cm high (duckling also available, see separate product entry) Material: Teak Wood. Made in Denmark by ArchitectMade.
