Hallazago (Discovery) poster by Remedios Varo
£35.00
Artist:
Remedios Varo
We're captivated by this poster featuring Hallazgo (Discovery), 1956, by Remedios Varo, who declared that "the dream world and the real world are the same." Varo combined vastly different techniques, fantasies, and ideas in her paintings, which have an enigmatic, cinematic character and often incorporate hybrid creatures.
She employed surrealism's chance-based processes but was simultaneously incredibly precise, meticulous, and classical in her painterly expression and use of colour, which has clear references to Italian painting from the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance.
The poster is produced by Louisiana, Denmark in connection with their 2026-2027 Varo exhibition. See you on the Jet2 to Copenhagen!!
