Johann David Steingruber: Architecture Alphabet (Alphabet Architektur) poster

This poster is great fun - a lovely alphabet for a child's wall, or an endless source design inspiration to hang above your desk. Johann David Steingruber (1702–1787) created his Architectural Alphabet ( 'Architektonisches Alphabeth bestehend aus 30 Rissen') in 1773. It's a marvellous collection of imaginary buildings, each shaped like a letter of the alphabet. Never (yet!) built, these are palaces of Steingruber's imagination - a world of endless possibility.
