Paints the Stage Poster by David Hockney
Paints the Stage is one of our favourites: purely Hockney with no typography, just the artist's own unmistakeable handwriting and his painting of his set for Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortileges playing out on a stage - it's a detail from his The Garden with Singers, 1980.
This huge, stunning poster from 1985 is in superb condition for its age, with only the lightest signs of handling including very minor surface indentations and very minor scuffs to some edges which would be imperceptible once framed.
This poster was created for the important Hockney Paints the Stage exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, London in 1985. It has all the excitement of the theatre and looks magnificent in any style of interior.
Approximate dimensions: 101.6cm x 143 cm
