Pool and Steps poster by David Hockney

This wonderful, glossy-surfaced poster, produced by the Lousiana Museum in Denmark, features David Hockney's Pool and Steps, Le Nid du Duc (1971). This was a prolific and extraordinarily creative period, even by Hockney's standards, and pools featured strongly. 

This was the pool at Le Nid du Duc the Provencal hideaway of director Tony Richardson. We love the light on the water, the alluringly dropped shirt and the just-stepped-out of sandals. Who's having a dip....?
