The "Mangia" Roller Ball Pen, a design by Peter Shire, comes from ACME Studio's Standard Roller Ball Pens. The pen comes with one black roller ball refill. The artist's signature is engraved on the cap band and "ACME" is on the clip. The pen comes presented in a metal ACME box with a black sleeve and ACME literature.

About Peter Shire: 

PETER SHIRE , born in Los Angeles , Ca. in 1947, gained his B.F.A. from Chouinard Institute in Los Angeles in 1970. Peter is an internationally known artist living in Southern California . His work has been exhibited in both galleries and museums. He has worked with ceramics, oils, pastels, acrylics, and designs in Italian blown glass. He is the only California based member of the International Design Group "Memphis Milano". Shire's work was described by Ettore Sottsass as, "...so fresh, so witty, and so full of information for the future..." Recently he received a commission from the Metropolitan Transit Authority's ART (Art for Rail Transit) program to create a sculpture for the Wilshire / Vermont subway station. The first project completed by ACME was with Mr. Shire in 1984.
