Saarinen round dining table with white Rilsan base and arabescato marble top satin finish – white with grey veins.

Eero Saarinen vowed to address the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" he observed underneath chairs and tables - the so-called "slum of legs." A five-year design investigation led him to the revolutionary Pedestal Collection, introduced in 1958. Favourites in The Home since we opened our doors, this marble-topped version is a corker. 

The marble for each table is hand selected and processed to Knoll's exacting standards in Umbria, Italy. From the initial milling to the three coats of protective polyester and the thirty two stages of polishing performed in a specially built underground workshop to control dust, temperature and humidity, nothing is left to chance. Every stage is overseen by a bona fide marble perfectionist. This is the reason you can't but help to fall in love with your unique piece of geology!

The Knoll logo is located on the underside of the base. A nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen is also located on the underside of the top.
