Since the mid-1980s, Alessi has reproduced, under license from the Bauhaus Archiv in Berlin, a selection of projects created by some of the school's main protagonists. Alberto Alessi decided to include designs created in the studios of the famous German art school, not least because of its character as a 'laboratory of applied art'; a place where respect for art and the desire to create unusual, beautiful objects determines the style of work - a model to which Alessi's Italian 'Dream Factory' also aspires.
