Julie Cope's Grand Tour Exhibition Poster by Grayson Perry (pink)
£27.50
Oh, it's just so gorgeous, when we opened it we whooped with joy!
This exhibition poster was created for Julie Cope's Grand Tour: The Story of a Life by Grayson Perry. The touring show stopped off at Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh from 25 July – 2 November 2019 as part of Edinburgh Art Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Dovecot produced this poster.
Julie Cope’s Grand Tour showed the complete set of tapestries designed by Perry for his extraordinary project A House for Essex. The house, designed with FAT Architecture for Living Architecture, was envisaged as a secular chapel dedicated to Julie Cope, a fictional every-woman. This poster shows a detail from the work A Perfect Match. In Perry's words "I made two large tapestries to hang in the main room of the house, showing key moments in Julie Cope's life. They're done in the style of Renaissance religious paintings, with the main characters shown several times in each image, in little vignettes marking different moments in time."
Dimensions: A2 (594 x 420mm)
