David Hockney has lived and painted across two millennia exploring, in his own words, 'time and more, space and more'.

In the early 80s Mr Hockney began a series of paintings considering how to depict the experience of travelling through time and space in a car, criss-crossing the canyoned landscape of Hollywood. Mulholland Drive: The Road to the Studio, 1980 comes out of this meditation. What a painting! What a mind!

This long and thin poster is produced by Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where the original work lives - along with 15 other superb Hockneys. Do go and see them if you're in LA.
