This is just so beautiful.
In 1888 Van Gogh lived in Arles, a city in the south of France. ‘Nature Morte Branche d'Amandier’ was one of the first paintings van Gogh executed upon arrival. The painting features an exquisite, jewel-like rendering of a flowering almond branch in a glass, reflecting the excitement Van Gogh felt about living in the region.
